The Young and the Restless: James Hyde’s Devastating Loss – Y&R Alum’s Sad News
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that James Hyde (ex-Jeremy Stark) recently shared some difficult news on Instagram. On April 16, Hyde posted about the loss of his brother and offered some sweet words in memory of him.
“My brother Tom passed away early this morning. He was in hospice care and his son Dustyn said he passed peacefully,” Hyde said.
Although this is obviously a tough blow for Hyde’s family, he reflected on what a great brother he had in his glowing tribute.
“Tom was Father, Grandfather, Army Veteran and a great brother to me.
Love you Tom your now with Mom and Dad!! Rest in Peace ..God Bless You,” Hyde added as he wrapped up his post.
Of course, it didn’t take long for fans to respond with some supportive messages.
Hyde also got sympathy from some of his former co-stars, including Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers).
“I’m so sorry James,” Stafford said before including a heart emoji.
Since Stafford was one of the people Hyde worked with the most when he was on Y&R, it’s nice to know she reached out and offered some comfort.
Sean Dominic (Nate Hastings) also sent his deepest condolences along with Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin), Tamara Clatterbuck (ex-Alice Johnson) and several other actors in the soap world.
It’s always hard to lose a family member you love, but Hyde’s farewell message was a heartfelt way to goodbye.
Fans have certainly missed James Hyde since he concluded his run as the villainous Jeremy Stark back in April 2023.
It’s been over a year since Hyde last aired as Jeremy, but many viewers still wish Jeremy could somehow rise from the grave or that Hyde could play a twin.
Although it doesn’t look like the show has any plans to resurrect Jeremy or let James Hyde return as a new character, you never know what might happen down the road.
