WeTV‘s Mama June: Family Crisis sees the reality TV stars dealing with heartbreak and loss. During the show’s July 19 finale episode, the family says goodbye for the last time to Mama June Shannon‘s eldest daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell. However, the goodbye turns “messy,” much like Mama June’s surprise for Justin.
Mama June surprises her family
The finale episode of Mama June: Family Crisis has some fans calling Mama June “trashy” as she attempts to patch things up with her partner, Justin.
The reality TV star surprises her family with a vow renewal during the show and fans can barely believe their eyes.
Mama June’s daughters think they’re getting together to say a final goodbye to their late sister.
But, the matriarch of the family says she’s got the family together “not really for Anna,” but to tell her husband how much she loves him.
As the family arrives, Justin asks: “What the hell, June?”
Mama June says: “This really ain’t to bless Anna. Surprise everyone! I planned a vow renewal for me and Justin. She adds how the day needs to be “amazing” with “good cake” and “flowers.”
Justin is ’embarrassed’
Although Justin appears totally confused by Mama June’s surprise, she remains in great spirits about her idea, telling him: “No matter what day of the week it is, I would marry you over and over again.”
However, Justin is less than impressed as he tells cameras he felt he “wasn’t listened to” and adds that he feels “upset.”
The two did technically renew their vows, but Justin says how he “can’t believe” June thinks it’s a “fix” for their relationship: “When you have a vowel renewal, this is something that the husband and the wife knows, not just something the wife goes and plans.”
Although some fans of the show were seemingly outraged by Mama June’s vow renewal, others at least found some comedy value in it: “Pumpkin made me laugh so hard at the vow renewal.”
Another commented on Instagram: “Inappropriate…that’s all I can say.”
