LPBW: Did Matt Just Confirm That The Show Has Ended?
Matt Roloff has been the only member who has starred in Little People Big World the longest. Although LPBW began in 2006, a lot of family members left over the years, including his kids. There were a lot of speculations that the series had ended once and for all. One of the main castmates of the show, Tori and Zach also announced their departure last year.
As not many stars from the show have left, there has been a buzz on the internet for a long time about the show’s cancellation. At last, Matt, took it upon himself to inform his followers about what lies in the future of this TLC show. Did he just give away that the network won’t be going forward with more seasons?
LPBW: Matt Does An Honest Q&A Reveals The Show’s Future!
There has been massive turbulence since the LPBW Season 23 premiere. That’s when fans got to see Matt and Zach’s big feud regarding the farm. It seems like that fight changed many things, not just within the family but outside of it. While Zach, Tori, and the kids stopped visiting the farm often, they also announced their exit from the show after LPBW.
Matt emphasized how many family members, including Caryn, declared their exit from the show. Somewhere deep within, he and Amy knew Zach and Tori would do something like this. The whole thing made him very disappointed. The former couple tried that Amy’s husband, Chris, and Matt’s Fiancee Caryn, substitute them, and they were on board with the filming, but it didn’t make much of a difference. All of them were done with their contracts, and TLC had not invited them back.
So far, TLC has not announced renewal, and Matt and Amy were aware that Zach and his family won’t be back for more seasons. Lots of LPBW fans said the final episode of Season 25 felt more like a series finale, as there were compilations from the past season when Zach, Jeremy, Jacob, and Molly were just kids. Matt said he was very “satisfied” and “confident” if that’s really the end of the show. But in reality, even he doesn’t know if there will be a new season or not.
LPBW: Matt Admits The Farm Feud Was Good For The TV Ratings!
Matt spoke to LPBW fans in a very candid manner during the live session. He admitted that “relationships” were what drove viewers to watch the show. While many would complain they hated watching issues and rifts between the family members, it would add to the ratings. Matt explained how issues and then their resolution format worked the best.
But Zach and Tori have been dealing with the farm feud very harshly. Not only did they move to Washington, they didn’t even bring their kids to the farm to meet Grandpa Matt. Then, they also started a new podcast while announcing that Season 25 of the show would be their family’s last. Hence, there wasn’t much relationship to depict on the show, and the future seasons might not do as well as the current ones have.
