General Hospital Friday, December 6 Recap: Ava’s Not Guilty Verdict Sends Kristina Wild, Brad's Blackmail Debate

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, December 6, reveals that Ava Jerome (Maura West) was found not guilty, so Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) totally zoned out following the verdict and started straight ahead.

Kristina was in a fugue as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) kept calling out to her. Once Kristina finally came back to reality, she had to accept that this legal fight against Ava was over.

Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) rushed to catch up with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), who obviously wasn’t happy about Ava getting off the hook.

TJ assumed Molly was satisfied with the outcome, so Kristina overheard and pushed her sister for answers.

Molly admitted that she now believed it was an accident, so neither Ava nor Kristina was to blame for the window tumble.

After Molly apologized for the hurtful things she said at the baby’s grave, she insisted she just wanted to find peace and move on.

Kristina was appalled, but Molly was exhausted from everything she’d been through and all the losses she’d endured.

Back in the courtroom, Ava and Sonny bickered over whether she could see Avery Corinthos (Ava Scarola), so Rick Lansing (Rick Hearst) tossed some threats around regarding the custody battle.

Sonny finally agreed Ava could come over for a supervised visit tomorrow, so Ava was looking forward to seeing Avery again.

As Sonny and Alexis appeared nearby, Kristina said Molly was able to focus on peace and moving on because she was never really “Adela’s” mother.

Alexis rushed over like she wanted to comfort Molly, but Molly declared they were done and stormed out.

At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) talked to Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) about Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) coma awakening and the investigation into Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) overdose.

Elsewhere, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) gave Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) some advice about his path to redemption and felt he had to be a better person for himself, not just Lucas.

Later, Brad overheard that Lucas was going to a special medical symposium in Miami, so he made a pitch to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about why he should go, too.

Portia insisted the symposium was only for doctors and shut Brad down rather harshly since she knew he just wanted to be close to Lucas.

However, Stella watched the interaction nearby and ultimately told Portia it was a mistake to show her disdain for Brad.

As GH’s co-chief of staff, Portia needed to show she could be impartial to all her employees.

Brad had done a good job in the lab since he came back to the hospital, so Portia ultimately had a change of heart.

Meanwhile, Brad contemplated whether he’d use the altered results he’d been blackmailing Portia with.

Although Brad started to put the proof in the shredder, he searched the upcoming temps in Miami and was torn.

Portia eventually came along and let Brad know his work had been exemplary lately.

Plus, Brad had made some good points about why his symposium attendance would be beneficial to his job.

In the end, Portia decided that Brad could go after all, so he was thrilled once he got updates on that news.

Next, Lucas found TJ in the break room and learned the verdict didn’t go his way today.

TJ was also dealing with his separation from Molly, so Lucas didn’t think TJ should throw himself into work right now.

Since TJ wasn’t at the top of his game, Lucas convinced him that they should hit the gym together instead.

At the gallery, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) disappointed Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) since he had to concentrate on preparing for a big game, which meant they needed a project extension.

Trina was frustrated and just wanted to finish the project herself – though she was sure Kai would still get a good grade.

At the Home and Heart studio, Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms) worried since they needed to sell $75,000 worth of Deception products to keep their slot.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) found out about the quota and watched alongside Maxie as Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) used her new-and-improved accent for the presentation.

One of the gals from back in Bensonhurst called in and complained, so Lois faced accusations of being ashamed of who she was.

Lois insisted that wasn’t the case and proudly reverted to her Bensonhurst accent, so sales skyrocketed once she did.

In fact, it was the highest-selling Deception segment ever!

General Hospital spoilers say Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will find out how wrong she was eventually, so we’ll bring you more predictions on any drama that might cause.
