Financial Shock: How Much Did the Duggar Family Lose After “Counting On” Was Canceled? Behind the Huge Loss!

Earlier this year, the Duggar family’s TLC show, Counting On, came to an end. For years, the family has relied on TLC for income. But when Josh Duggar was arrested for receiving and possessing child pornography, the network decided to cancel the show.

At the time, TLC released a statement that reads:

“TLC feels it is important to give the Duggar family the opportunity to address their situation privately.”

When Josh was arrested, the network released another statement, reading, “TLC is saddened to learn about the continued troubles involving Josh Duggar. 19 Kids and Counting has not aired since 2015. TLC canceled the show on the heels of prior allegations against Josh Duggar and he has not appeared on air since then.”

This isn’t the first time that Josh’s actions have affected the family’s income with TLC. Before they were on Counting On, the family had a show called 19 Kids & Counting. Josh’s previous scandals motivated TLC to cancel the show. Then, the network ordered Counting On as a spin-off and didn’t plan to feature Josh on the show.

Shortly after the show was canceled by TLC, a source revealed to The Sun how this would affect the family financially.

The source said, “The family were roughly paid $80k for each chunk of filming, and some seasons were longer than others, but they were picking up on average $850k a series.”

The source continued, “I think a lot of people will be shocked to learn they were earning that much, and it all went to Jim Bob who invested some of it for the family, and handed the rest out. But there were often arguments about payments, who deserved what and whether people were being paid correctly for their time on air, that was a major issue over the years.”

Then, they said, “Some family members are glad TLC pulled the plug so they can go off on their own and manage their own money, but Jim Bob is undoubtedly p****d because it was a huge income.”

So, are you surprised to hear how much money the Duggars are losing now? Do you think there will be another show after Counting On, or do you think TLC will move onto other families instead? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
