Titan Explorer narrowly escapes death and loses crab – The most brutal fishing season yet!
Deadliest Catch boat Titan Explorer, run by captain Jake Anderson, was left exposed to the elements during filming. Chino was left shaken, before Jake decided to call it quits and get his crew inside.
Jake Anderson had the tough decision to stop his Deadliest Catch crew working on deck. However, the weather conditions became too dangerous due to the extreme waves, and they had to stop working.
Titan Explorer loses crab cage
Titan Explorer lost an entire cage of crabs during extreme weather conditions during Deadliest Catch filming. Staff shouted, “Watch out,” as the crabs went overboard and dropped into the sea.
Captain Jake Anderson urged his crew to throw equipment over, while one crew member urged his fellow employees not to step on the line as he made the beeline throw for the sea.
A crew member said, “I can’t do this anymore, f*** this, f*** that,” before the producer asked Jake, who was driving the boat, what happened. He explained a wave went over, taking with it the crab cage.
Jake Anderson calls it quits
Jake urged his crew members to call it quits and get inside the boat, as it was too dangerous to be on the Titan Explorer deck. “It slid right out of the docks. That’s how big a roll it was,” Jake said of the crabs.
Chino, who was previously knocked out and could not feel his legs, was asked if he was okay. The crew then gathered inside and left their usual crabbing season duties behind for the day.
Fans applaud Jake’s decision to put his crew’s safety first. One wrote, “That is a great call and a great captain Jake is for taking care of his crew,” while a fan said, “I could never work on Jake’s boat.”
