Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Stefan DiMera’s Unfinished Story Unfair to Gabi – 3 Ways to Fix Kidnapping Exit

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) story remains unfinished, so fans are left wondering what the future holds. Will DOOL really just let Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) keep thinking the worst of Stefan forever?

In the December 10 episode, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) tried to convince Gabi of what a creep Stefan was – especially since he signed the divorce papers and bailed on her by skipping town.

However, Days fans know that’s not what happened at all! Stefan was ready to fight for his marriage to Gabi, but Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) had other plans.

Brandon Barash was given an abrupt exit as Ivan Mareis (Ivan G’Vera) kidnapped Stefan on Vivian’s orders.

Vivian wanted Stefan to let go of Gabi, so she had her son sent to Alamainia.

Stefan would move heaven and earth to get back to Gabi under normal circumstances, so he’s presumably being held captive or being brainwashed against her.

Whatever the case, it feels wrong for Gabi to think that Stefan willingly abandoned her. Gabi previously hoped Stefan was on the same page about wanting to give their marriage one last chance – and he indeed was!

Unfortunately, Gabi now believes Stefan sealed the deal on the divorce and took off. It’s unfair for the show to leave Gabi in the dark on the truth permanently.

On the bright side, there are some strategies that Days could use to undo the damage.

We can think of at least three ways to fix Stefan’s kidnapping exit, so let’s talk about them.

For starters, Days could make Brandon Barash an offer he can’t refuse and bring him back! Barash seems wary of trusting the show again after getting burned repeatedly, but we’d say they could work out a deal if they tried hard enough.

If Stefan breaks free from Vivian’s twisted plans for him, then he could ultimately come home to Salem and tell Gabi what actually played out.

We have no doubt that it would lead to Gabi and Stefan’s reunion.

Of course, another option that would achieve the same result is to recast the role of Stefan DiMera for a comeback storyline.

That might be another path to Stefan and Gabi reuniting down the road.

A third possibility might be if Stefan winds up presumed deceased somehow, but he leaves a note behind for Gabi that explains everything.

Gabi didn’t get a proper goodbye note of her own when Stefan left since Vivian forged one with EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) name on it.

Perhaps Stefan could leave a letter for Gabi that makes its way to her in the event of his demise.

If the show has no plans for Stefan’s return at all, then they at least need to tie up some loose ends and provide some closure.

No matter how it all goes down, Gabi deserves more resolution than she got.

Stefan was the love of Gabi’s life, so let’s hope the show will eventually clean up this kidnapping exit mess.

Although Gabi and JJ will get back together in the meantime, it’s easy to see that no one will ever truly replace Stefan in her heart.

Our predictions point to Gabi’s love for Stefan haunting her on some level as she tries to move on.
