DOOL Spoilers: The Week of April 22, 2024 Brings Casting Changes

Tomeo’s credits include Every Witch Way, Kickin’ It, Conan the Barbarian, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and 9-1-1. Leo Howard recently stepped into the role of Tate Black, replacing Jamie Martin Mann, who left the show to be a full-time college student.

Howard is also new to the role of Tate. He is a southern California native, and the only child of Randye and Todd Howard, professional dog breeders who operate The Big Bulldog Ranch.

Howard made his television debut at the age of seven in 2005. He was credited as “Little Karate Kid” in an episode of the NBC show Monk. Howard was a child dressed for Halloween and delivered one line, “Maybe he’s afraid of karate.”

Ironically, Howard is a big Bruce Lee fan and started studying martial arts at the age of five. Three years later he had won three world championships and he has a black belt in Shorin Ryu, his specialty.

Fun Fact: Howard is engaged to Natasha Hall, who recently subbed for Jessica Serfaty as Sloan Petersen.
