Days of Our Lives Recap: Tuesday, April 16 – Nicole & EJ’s Marriage at Risk – 911 for Chanel – Paulina Sneaks Out
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 16, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) cornered EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to ask questions about his weak apology to Tate Black (Leo Howard), Xander’s frame-up and the Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) case.
However, EJ smugly dodged those questions with vague responses that didn’t give Xander and Chad anything to work with.
EJ also got grilled about Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and acted like his brother would serve justly behind bars, but Stefan appeared and announced that he already had.
Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) fumed over Stefan’s freedom and eventually confronted him since she blamed him for the tainted drugs that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) overdosed on.
Stefan tried to apologize on Tuesday’s Days episode, but Nicole pointed out Holly was the one who truly deserved an apology.
Even so, Nicole insisted that wouldn’t happen since she refused to let Stefan anywhere near her daughter.
Stefan argued it might be tough to avoid Holly since they’d be living under the same roof, but EJ clashed with Stefan over whether his brother would be allowed back in the DiMera residence.
Although Stefan privately reminded EJ that he vowed to give back half of everything he took from him, EJ didn’t see how he could give back half a house.
Stefan at least wanted to be co-CEOs again, but EJ pointed out that the board didn’t want Stefan at DiMera Enterprises after all this legal drama.
After Stefan relented on the CEO situation, he insisted he should get everything else. EJ didn’t think so, but Stefan delivered a threat that EJ couldn’t ignore.
If EJ didn’t go along with Stefan’s wishes, then Stefan vowed to tell Nicole that EJ knew he was running drugs through The Bistro.
Furthermore, EJ did nothing when Stefan came to him for help.
If Nicole found out that EJ could’ve prevented Holly’s overdose, Stefan offered a prediction on Nicole’s fury and insisted she’d never forgive her husband.
After Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) helped Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) pack for her move, they wound up in the town square and got updates on Stefan’s freedom.
Ava wasn’t happy about that news or the risks Harris had taken to help her, but he made it clear that he’d help her bring down Clyde Weston (James Read) once they found Gil Carter’s (David S. Lee) black book.
After EJ stomped away from his Stefan confrontation, Chad let Nicole know he was sorry for his family’s behavior.
Nicole assured Chad it wasn’t his fault and praised him for his coverage at The Spectator before reflecting on her days as a TV reporter.
At the pub, Xander met up with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) following her shift at the hospital, so they discussed Stefan’s shady release and considered whether he was involved in framing Xander.
Sarah wondered what would happen if that was true, so Xander made it clear that Stefan would pay the price!
At the cabin on Tuesday’s Days episode, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) tried calling missing Chanel DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) phone and realized she’d left it inside.
Before Johnny could go out looking for Chanel, he answered a call from Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) since she was worried about the snowstorm.
Johnny claimed Chanel was in the shower and bought some time while he carried out a search in the area.
Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) answered Paulina’s next call while Johnny was gone and claimed the newlyweds were out playing in the snow together.
Afterward on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Julie got on the phone with Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) before Paulina called once again.
Julie held up both phones and mistakenly thought she’d put Paulina on mute while she asked Doug to come up with an excuse.
Paulina ended up overhearing that Chanel was missing, so she panicked – especially once Johnny returned and admitted he hadn’t been able to locate Chanel.
Julie called 911 and told Johnny that the first responders would get there as fast as they could, but Johnny still looked worried.
Once Paulina made some other calls and learned it’d be hours before they could get the bridge clear, she said that was unacceptable and wanted the head of the snowplow crew to call her immediately.
Soon after on Tuesday’s Days episode, Paulina snuck out of isolation despite the danger of exposing everyone due to her radioactive iodine treatment.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say help is on the way for Chanel in these terribly snowy conditions, so stay tuned.
