Bold & Beautiful’s Finn has been through one of the worst weeks of his life… and that’s saying a lot considering he was shot by his own birth mother and left for dead. The current ride he’s on involves, not Sheila, but his newly-discovered daughter Luna, and it’s only going to get wilder… at least where his marriage is concerned.
Finn managed to do the seemingly impossible when he broke the news to Steffy that Luna is his daughter. If learning that the same Luna who drugged her, locked her up, and planned to kill her is now her step-daughter wasn’t staggering enough, Finn’s wife soon realized this revelation brought with it even more sinister implications — apparently, being a homicidal psychopath runs in her husband’s family.
Of course, all indications point to the sickness skipping a generation where Finn’s concerned, but someone might want to keep a close eye on Hayes’ behavior in the sandbox at nursery school, jus’ sayin’. Indeed, the possibility that this hereditary taint might touch their son definitely amped up Steffy’s anxiety, but she vowed to stand by Finn and work through the horror of it all together. However, we fear that particular pledge is subject to change.
Thanks to the handy-dandy Bold & Beautiful preview, we know Finn will come face-to-face with Luna by week’s end. It’s bound to be a shocking moment, not only because he’s laying eyes on Luna for the first time since finding out she’s his daughter, but because he believes her to be locked up behind bars… you know, where she can’t hurt his wife.
Once Finn is brought into the loop on why Luna is at Bill’s eating bon bons and not in the big house, he’s bound to get the same song and dance she’s been giving her benefactor. Finn’s going to hear all about her regrets and that killing two people and torturing his wife over days was just a confusing “out of body” experience. A crazy once-in-a-lifetime glitch (that happened three times). Nevermind that she playfully threatened to kill Remy only a day prior.
We fully expect Finn to buy what Luna’s selling… and pay a hefty price. Why? If you lump in Finn’s gullibility with all the guilt he has about not being there for Luna as a child, it amounts to one thing — the good doctor will become hellbent on helping his daughter prove that she’s reformed. With his connections in the medical community, he might even be able to get her sentence revisited on the basis that she was mentally ill at the time of her crimes. Heck, Luna could be released into Saint Sheila’s protective custody. Nothing’s off the table on Bold & Beautiful!
If helping Luna go free is the move, however, we don’t like Finn’s chances of convincing his wife that the cold-blooded psycho who looked her dead in the eye and didn’t care if she left their children motherless was simply having a momentary lapse of judgement. Nope, not gonna fly.
Steffy’s going to lose it once she realizes Luna’s out of prison, and Finn pleading his daughter’s case will be a game-changer for their marriage. There has to be a limit to what she can accept, and our hunch is that this is where she’ll hit a wall. That, SOAPS readers, is why Finn’s next move will doom his relationship with Steffy. Or will it?
