“Jack is back!” Those are the words Ted King shared over on Instagram, announcing his return to The Bold and the Beautiful “over the next few days.” The scenes were shot back before the wildfires started tearing through Los Angeles and, we’re guessing, before the holidays as the show just returned after a four-week hiatus.
As to what brings Jack back around, King just promised that “a lot of mayhem will ensue on your screens over the next few days.”
And with the timing of his return, we’re already starting to imagine just what that mayhem will entail! Because the last time Jack popped up over the summer, Hollis ended up dead. We eventually learned that Luna murdered both him and her dad, Tom, but now… Well, Bill’s sprung the unhinged young woman from jail and keeps prodding her for details about her murders. On top of that, Li just ran a DNA test to see if Tom really was Luna’s father — and she doesn’t seem pleased with the results!
And that’s got us thinking.
Is the show looking for a way to clear Luna’s name? Maybe she took the fall for someone else or is simply delusional and just tricked herself into thinking she murdered two people. If she didn’t kill Tom and Hollis, though, that leaves things wide open as to who really did. And at one time, Jack was at the top of our list of suspects.
He was, after all, very fond of both Luna and her mom, and we speculated an affair between him and Poppy may have resulted in Luna. If Wednesday’s paternity test means that Li finds out that Tom isn’t Luna’s dad just as Jack returns… Well, that’s awfully suspicious! Could Jack be the actual murderer of both Tom and Hollis? Was he just trying to cover up Luna’s true paternity? Is he coming back because he heard Luna’s free and he’s worried about the truth coming out?
Or is there something else going on entirely?
In the end, we guess the only way to find out what’s bringing him back is to wait and see what kind of fireworks explode with his return. Who wants to bet we’re headed for the reveal that neither he nor Tom is Luna’s pop but [Spoiler]?
