The Young and the Restless Thursday, January 16 Recap: Claire Vows Jordan Must Die – Sharon’s Kidnapper Caught on Camera

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 16, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be shaken up at the Newman ranch, where she’ll insist that what she’s about to tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has to stay between them.

Claire will admit she just came face to face with Jordan (Colleen Zenk), who somehow got out of prison despite the facility claiming she was there.

Since Jordan implied someone took her place, Claire will pass that information along to Nikki and Victoria.

Claire will also admit that she told Jordan what she wanted to hear and made her think that she was on her side again.

Although Victoria and Nikki will want to get the cops or at least Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) involved, Claire will argue that there’s only one way to stop Jordan for good.

After Claire insists Jordan must die, Nikki and Victoria will try to convince Claire that it’s not the right strategy.

The guilt would haunt Claire – not to mention Claire could land in prison.

However, Claire will contend that she couldn’t live with herself if Jordan killed again because she didn’t intervene.

Since Claire will hint about doing to Jordan what Jordan planned to do to them, it sounds like she’ll want to poison her.

Claire will basically warn that she’s doing this with or without Victoria and Nikki’s help. Either way, Claire will reiterate that Jordan has to die.

In the sewer, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will give herself a pep talk before finally reaching the bar she’s been struggling to get to. On Thursday’s Y&R episode, Sharon will use that bar to try to break free from her chain.

At Society, Victor and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will grow increasingly convinced that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) has an accomplice they need to find.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will eventually deliver updates to Nick and Victor since there’s proof that Sharon didn’t drive into the river herself.

Chance will explain that security footage showed someone putting a rag over Sharon’s mouth and putting her in the backseat after she passed out.

Once Nick and Victor take a look at that security footage, they’ll think something seems familiar about Sharon’s kidnapper.

It’ll leave Victor and Nick wondering if it’s someone they know, but they won’t figure out it’s Jordan just yet.

At Crimson Lights, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will rain all over Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) revenge parade and try to convince Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) she should team up with him on a new project instead.

After Daniel leaves, Billy will question Phyllis about whether she’s still committed to his plan to go after Chancellor.

Phyllis will complain about not having any details, so Billy will finally admit he wants to destroy Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) since that’s the best way to get to Victor.

Phyllis will suspect this is more about getting back at Adam because of what happened with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), so she’ll call Billy out over his vendetta.
