Days of Our Lives Wednesday, January 15 Recap: EJ’s Fake Sloan Search – Leo Catches Wrong Lady Whistleblower
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 15, reveals that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) learned Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was busy with a case, so Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) wasn’t sure when he’d be home.
Leo remained hopeful about putting Rafe to work on another investigation since he had a lead on where the new Lady Whistleblower lived.
After Leo had a pleasant chat with Javi, he caught a glimpse of his “I heart Rochester” sweatshirt on the way out.
Leo didn’t confront Javi, but he felt like an idiot back in his hotel room and assumed Lady Whistleblower had been Javi all along.
In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) ran into Kerry (Derek Yates) and bonded with him over their mutual disdain for Leo.
Gabi wasn’t happy to hear about Javi’s renewed friendship with Leo and clearly thought Kerry was the better romantic choice for her cousin.
At Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) place, Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) showed up with big news since she decided against telling Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) about Philip Kiriakis’ (John-Paul Lavoisier) forged letter.
Sarah explained that Philip was keeping Xander in check at Titan and that she understood Philip’s perspective on some level.
Stephanie was willing to keep quiet too since she couldn’t live with herself if Xander committed bodily harm to Philip.
However, Stephanie basically made a prediction about things ending in disaster for Sarah if Xander found out she’d been keeping this secret.
Sarah insisted that was a gamble she had to take.
At Titan on Wednesday’s Days episode, Philip spoke to Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) over the phone and assumed Xander’s revenge was brewing.
Although Philip expected Xander to pull a gun on him, Xander arrived with a croissant from Sweet Bits instead.
Xander insisted it was a peace offering and that he was committed to listening to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and Sarah’s advice.
Since Xander was willing to put genuine effort into their partnership, Philip broke bread with him as they made progress.
Later, Sarah cornered Philip alone and admitted she was keeping quiet along with Stephanie.
That said, Sarah made it clear that Philip had to truly work with Xander and not against him or the deal was off.
Philip was grateful and said something about owing Sarah, so Xander popped up with questions.
Sarah played it off like Philip was just thanking her for encouraging Xander to get on board with this co-CEO situation.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) demanded answers after “Rafe” aka Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) emerged from the DiMera tunnels.
Arnold pretended he was working a case for EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) “on the DL,” which was why Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) didn’t know about it.
EJ cooked up a bogus story about hiring Rafe to find Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) since she never paid for her role in the baby theft.
Jada was skeptical since she expected EJ would want to “let sleeping babies lie” in this situation considering his own deception.
Although Jada had all sorts of questions, Arnold and EJ took turns coming up with answers to satisfy her.
“Rafe” also pretended he was scoring a big check so he could buy Jada a surprise wedding gift, so that seemed to smooth things over a bit.
Jada warned “Rafe” not to scare her like that again, so Arnold reassured her before she took off.
Afterward, Jada ran into Stephanie, who confirmed she was no longer with Philip and wouldn’t be bringing a plus one to the wedding.
Jada was just glad she found Rafe and assured Stephanie that they were moving full-speed ahead on the nuptials.
Back at the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, EJ was impressed with how Arnold handled that dilemma and decided maybe he could be useful posing as Rafe after all.
The catch was that EJ didn’t want Arnold making any romantic advances toward Jada, so he had an idea on how to handle that.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say EJ will no doubt live to regret this arrangement, so we’ll bring you updates on any catastrophes ahead.
