General Hospital Alum Brooklyn Rae Silzer Shares Goodbye Message – Thanks Fans for Support as Emma Recast Debuts
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the role of Emma Drake was recently recast, so GH said hello to Braedyn Bruner while bidding farewell to Brooklyn Rae Silzer. Although Bruner deserves a chance to make the role her own, many viewers were still bummed to see Silzer go!
Once the recast news made a splash in the soap world, Brooklyn Rae Silzer decided to speak out on social media.
The former GH star offered up a “little note” to address the Emma change, so let’s look at what she had to say on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“To my amazing General Hospital family who have supported me and watched me grow over the years as Emma I am forever grateful.
Although sad my time as Emma has come to an end I will cherish all of my memories and friendships made,” Silzer said.
The GH alum also talked about how lucky she felt to have been cast as Emma 13 years ago and to have the opportunity to take Emma this far in her journey.
Brooklyn Rae Silzer is clearly keeping an attitude of gratitude and focusing on all the positive things the show brought to her life.
“I am so excited to see how Braedyn takes care of Emma and bring new layers to her character. I am forever thankful for General Hospital and Emma will always hold a special place in my heart,” Silzer said as she wrapped up her post.
It’s nice to know that Silzer isn’t holding any grudges over the recast situation.
Silzer even wished Braedyn well and essentially passed the baton, so she was a real class act with her response!
