We’ve really got to hand it to Wicked. The movie’s been out for nearly a month and Wicked fever still hasn’t died down as fans have been holding space, jumping back into theaters for repeat performances and putting on performances not just of the film’s songs, but their dances as well! So yeah, we weren’t too surprised to see a few of the ladies of The Young and the Restless perform a Wicked good dance performance to “What Is This Feeling?”
Courtney Hope (Sally) posted the clip to her Instagram of herself, Hayley Erin (Claire), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) dancing down the halls of their CBS studios with some pretty darn good moves!
Take a peek at their performance below and watch right up until the end. Just make sure you’re ready for the big finish! (Because we’re not entirely sure Egan and Erin were.)
Don’t worry, no actors were hurt during the making of this video. At least, we don’t think they were. Yes, Erin did write to Egan in the comments that she should, “Get well soon,” but judging by the laughing emoji, we’re pretty sure there was no real damage. Though if we spot Chelsea on crutches in the next few weeks, we’ll know why! Heck, scroll through the rest of the comments and you’ll find half the daytime community from Young & Restless and Bold & Beautiful to General Hospital and even Beyond the Gates!
Port Charles’ own Finola Hughes (Anna) was so inspired she tagged Kate Mansi (Kristina) to put their own spin on it. “Yassss,” she exclaimed, “time for GH and Wicked! Challenge accepted!”
But why stop there? Why not have a full musical production with cast from across the daytime spectrum? We already saw the folks of Days of Our Lives sing and the ladies of Young & Restless dance. Combine them all and we’ve got another certified hit on our hands.
