General Hospital Monday, December 9 Recap: Kelly Monaco Returns for Flashback, Cyrus Confirmed as Sam’s Killer

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, December 9, reveals that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) were on the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree, so Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) joined the search in Rice Plaza

However, Dex eventually stepped away to get a cup of coffee and encountered Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Although Dex saw Cyrus on Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) floor back on Halloween, Cyrus said “hand to God” that he wasn’t there to see Lulu that night.

Dex and Gio helped Trina and Josslyn get the Christmas tree back to their apartment, but Joss could tell that Dex was struggling with painful family memories.

Josslyn wound up heading back to Rice Plaza with Dex, so he unloaded some difficult childhood stuff and kissed under the mistletoe with her.

Dex and Josslyn ultimately went back to his place so they could hit the sheets together.

Meanwhile, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) got a visit from Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) in her office.

Martin expressed his joy over Lulu’s awakening before talk turned to Cyrus.

Laura offered updates on the restraining order, but she still seemed concerned over what Cyrus had been up to.

The show eventually played a flashback of Cyrus sneaking in a sleeping Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) hospital room dressed as a doctor.

Cyrus injected Sam’s IV bag with digitalis and stroked her hair before he slipped back out.

Back in Rice Plaza, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) ran into Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and decided to be her wingman on Christmas decorating.

Once Lucky helped Liz bring a tree home, he admitted he’d decided to stay in Port Charles for the foreseeable future.

Since Lucky needed a job, Elizabeth reminded him of his old musician dreams and grabbed Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) guitar from upstairs so he could play something.

As Lucky sang a familiar personalized song, flashbacks played from his days of young love with Liz.

Our predictions point to Lucky and Liz’s romantic reunion sooner or later, so we’ll bring you more news on what’s ahead for these two.

Next on Monday’s GH episode, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) made it clear to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she wasn’t sorry for what she said to Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).

Kristina also still wanted Ava Jerome (Maura West) to pay, so Sonny vowed that she would one way or another.

The conversation shifted to Kristina’s career path since Sonny felt she could use a distraction.

Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) recently went back to Nixon Falls, so Sonny pushed Kristina to become the new owner since he planned to sell it otherwise.

Kristina agreed to really think about Sonny’s offer and shook his hand.

At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Molly was concerned about her mom getting dragged into the middle of her feud with Kristina.

Although Molly was tempted to stay elsewhere, Alexis convinced her to stay until she figured out her next move.

Alexis also assured Molly that she wasn’t alone and agreed not to be pushy about trying to get her to make up with Kristina.
