Oh yeah, little better, nailed it.

Captain Sig Hansen and crew are in the middle of a 25-pot string.
“Looks good. Oh yeah, better here,” and the crabs have been flowing.
“We’ve got this whole edge pretty much to ourselves. Get a couple of picks out of here, and as we do that, we’ll keep dialing and dialing, and before you know it, we’re okay.”

On Deck
“What are you doing?”
The crew is short a man.
“I have no idea where V is, honestly. I don’t—well, actually, a woman. Man, where’s your buddy?”

“I don’t know. Mandy could be anywhere.”
“She’s the captain’s daughter; she could be anywhere she needs to be.”

“Uh, hello? Uh, hello? Were you thinking of coming out and fishing, or were we just going to sleep?”
“What’s happening? Okay, just lay there. That’ll be all right.”

Just threw a real situation, and a greenhorn sleeping during the string?
“I don’t even know what to say because that would never happen. It’s unacceptable. It’s unacceptable!”

“Think somebody needs to get flamed. This is what happens to people that fall asleep.”
Cue music.

“Dude, around we got to—”
More music.

“I see five bodies down there, Reggie. What’s going on?”
“Found your kid sleeping in her bunk.”

“You lit her up in the bunk? Did you burn her?”
“Oh, I’m not going to burn your kid. This is about your kid sleeping, not me catching someone on fire.”

“What a bunch of idiots.”

“Hey, hey! Everybody nice job! Good looking out, guys. Nice job. Thanks for coming. You could have got me; it’s not funny.”

“Guess what? Everybody else get a little pep in their step. Can of fuel? That was your nap anyway. You’re probably all full of piss and vinegar now.”
“Don’t let that drag on the deck, yeah. Come on, don’t be so turkey.”

“I’m running behind. Just keep up this pace, keep her doing what she’s doing. Give her a couple of days; she’ll be burned out. It’s going to be funny to us, sucks for her. Welcome to crab fishing!”

Later:
“I don’t understand how other guys walked off. I’m sure it’s fine. If a girl can do it, anyone can do it.”

“Oh, we had a little snap of nice weather here for a while, and that was really uncommon for this time of year in the middle of winter. We enjoyed that, and now we’re paying the price.”

Captain Sig Hansen battles an Arctic squall as his crew prepares to meet the weather face-to-face.
“Sort of forgot about how miserable it is when it’s like this. Everything’s twice as hard right now. It’s about trying to keep your gear on fresh ground, trying to keep your crew motivated, and just keep those steady numbers coming in. That’s it.”

“But I’m still very concerned. I’ve got a knot in my stomach because we’ve got the kid on deck. This is the Bering Sea; it’s not exactly a lake. If a big one does come over, grab on—or something a lot bigger than that.”

This is greenhorn Mandy Hansen’s first test in rough seas.
“In for a little treat today. Okay, here she comes, first SP and Bam! Mother Nature is going to give us a little spanking, I think.”
