His best friend, Jake Anderson, received a call from his wife, telling him Brossard had suddenly died.
Jenna told Jake, “He just had a heart attack or something. It just happened. She’s at the hospital. He didn’t make it.”
It comes just 12 months after Brossard helped Jake rebuild the F/V Saga.
An emotional, teary Jake said: “Tom was my best friend. Him and I rebuilt the f****** Saga. We rebuilt the bow, we rebuilt the stern, we rebuilt the bathroom, we rebuilt the floors.”
A clip was shown on Deadliest Catch of the two building the old boat, where Anderson said: “It’s a blessing, he’s taught all of us how to weld and fit. He’s the best cutter in the whole of Washington state.”
