The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there are some obvious signs that a Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) romance is brewing. Kyle has been single for a while now, so it seems likely he’s on the verge of falling hard for Claire.
Unlike Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), Kyle is more open to seeing Claire’s side of the story.
Jordan (Colleen Zenk) was the one in the driver’s seat for most of Claire’s unhinged behavior, so Kyle gets that she was a victim in all this.
However, nothing is set in stone when it comes to Claire and Kyle’s romantic future. You never really know whether the audience will respond to a couple or not, so there’s no guarantee Claire and Kyle’s pairing will be meant to last.
What if Kyle and Claire’s romance flops with fans?
It could lead to the show exploring other romantic options, so let’s focus on another path for Claire if things with Kyle don’t work out.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has been nothing but kind to Claire so far and even admitted to Summer that he basically had a good feeling about her.
After Chance pointed out that he knew how to read people, he defended Claire’s attempt to turn her life around and encouraged Summer to give her a chance to prove herself.
If Y&R wants another exciting story option, they could throw these Newman cousins into a love triangle with Chance!
Since Chance clearly feels a connection with Summer and is picking up positive vibes from Claire too, he could end up having feelings for them both.
Claire has been worried about making an enemy out of Summer, but perhaps it’s Summer who should be worried about making an enemy out of Claire!
It’s easy to imagine a little bit of Claire’s sinister side coming out for revenge.
Maybe Summer will sabotage Claire’s romance with Kyle and leave Claire ready to steal Chance for payback.
Then again, Y&R might keep Claire in “good girl” territory and just have some mutual feelings naturally develop as she gets to know Chance.
That might even pave the way for Summer to reunite with Kyle if she ultimately becomes a love triangle loser!
