Days of Our Lives Scores No Less Than ‘Princess Diana’ to Play [Spoiler]

On April 27, Days of Our Lives disclosed via Instagram that it had nabbed the estimable Serena Scott Thomas for a role. “Any guesses who her character might be?!” the Peacock soap teased.
Immediately, fans began speculating as to the part that was being filled by the estimable English actress, who not only played Princess Diana in 1993’s Diana: Her True Story but Dr. Molly Warmflash in the 1999 Bond film The World Is Not Enough and a nefarious Watcher on whom everyone had to keep their eye in a memorable 1998 episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Tamara Braun suggested hopefully that Scott Thomas would be Ava’s mom. “Oh wait, her mom was killed by her dad,” the Emmy winner quickly remembered. “Or was she?” Fair question, especially in Salem!
Our hunch is that nannykat63 nailed it when she guessed that the sister of Four Weddings and a Funeral star Kristin Scott Thomas would be “Konstantin’s wife [who] had an affair with Victor and got pregnant” with Xander. “John and Steve will find her in the nick of time… and she’ll enter in time to stop the wedding of Maggie to him. Xander will find out his true identity then. The baby was given to Victor’s brother to be raised in Scotland.”
