General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Suffers Long-Term Poisoning Damage – Struggles to Regain Spunk?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may suffer long-term damage from poisoning and struggle to regain her spunk. Carly drank from a bottle of bubbly that was tainted with polonium, so there’s no guarantee that she’ll bounce back quickly.

Carly looked weak and confused when she woke up at the end of GH’s March 18 episode.

Unfortunately, Carly still doesn’t seem like herself in the March 19 preview video, which shows her looking rather panicked as Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) leaves her side.

Brennan will be determined to get payback on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) for what he put Carly through.

However, Carly’s ordeal may not be over if the poisoning continues to affect her system and even her spirit.

Although the antidote saved Carly from a grim fate, that doesn’t mean she’ll be perfectly fine moving forward.

Carly is a feisty character who tends to live her life in a bold way, but that could change after what she’s endured – at least for a while.

If Carly deals with some additional health issues in the aftermath, that’s only going to add to Brennan’s guilt for putting her in danger.

Brennan may end up torn over whether he should pull Carly closer to support her or back off so that nothing dangerous ever happens again.

This is the kind of thing that could scar Brennan as well and leave him struggling to handle a weakened version of Carly.

Brennan fell for Carly because of that spunk we mentioned, so it’ll be hard if it gets drained out of her due to lingering poison effects and the toll of all this.

Bottom line, it may take some time for Carly to get back to her old self.

It’ll be interesting to see how Brennan and the rest of Carly’s loved ones cope as they try to help Carly move forward.
