Honestly, we were starting to suspect we’d never see Nikolas again on General Hospital. He’s been in Pentonville for months, ever since Laura convinced him to turn himself in rather than spend a life on the run with Ace. Pentonville, of course, isn’t necessarily the end of a character, but then just yesterday Laura told Ava that he was about to be transferred out of state.
And you know what they say: Out of state, out of mind! Or something. We’d been sure that would be mean the end of him on our screens, but it seems we may have been a tad premature. Because now, Soap Opera Digest reports, Adam Huss is making his return next week… when Ava visits him in prison!
Over on Instagram, Huss shared the news saying, “For all those who’ve been asking, cat’s out of the bag. Thank you to all my Nikolas fans for your unwavering support. I don’t take it for granted for a second! (Even when I can’t answer.)”
Ava had been avoiding his calls, but we guess the news was enough to convince her that it’s time to face her ex. With that said, we don’t expect her to orchestrate a prison break to get him out of there before the transfer. It may just be a matter of convenience to find out what he wants before she has to hop on a plane to go see him!
What they have to talk about, though, is anyone’s guess. The two haven’t exactly been on great terms since Ava bashed Nikolas over the head and thought she’d killed him. Which, you know, is kind of understandable. And his New Year’s return where he revealed himself to his ex wasn’t exactly sunshine and sprinkles.
Then there’s Ava. She’s currently mixed up with Nikolas’ former brother-in-law, Sonny and her motives are certainly suspicious, but far from clear. One fan theory is that she’s working with Nikolas’ uncle, Valentin, to take the mobster down. We guess just about the only thing that is certain is that the confrontation between the two of them should be interesting!
