90 Day Fiance: Michael Ilesanmi’s Visa Journey
Michael Ilesanmi and his wife, Angela Deem, have been trying for years to get him to America. When the two first met, they applied for a fiance visa so he could go to America and they could wed. However, they were denied the visa. The TLC couple then wed in Nigeria and applied for a spousal visa.
However, the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After couple dealt with a backlog of applications and the global pandemic. So, they had to wait years before getting an update on the process or a visa interview.
Michael eventually got his visa interview. However, the embassy needed to look further into his case, so he didn’t know when he would get an answer. While waiting, he and Angela continued to fight. She even threatened to pull the visa.

Angela took Michael’s phone and started to look at his messages. The TLC star found out that he was the admin for a group chat with Nigerian men talking about American women. She thought that her husband was using her to get to America. She also found other concerning messages that made her second guess bringing him to her home country.
However, the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After castmate sat with her husband and asked him to explain the group chat and messages. He told her that he was depressed. So, he created a group chat for people going through the same visa process. It was a way for him not to feel alone.
Angela understood where Michael was coming from. So, she decided not to pull the visa. And to their surprise, their visa journey came to a happy ending.
