General Hospital Monday, January 27 Recap: Drew Banished – Willow Reveals Chase Can’t Father Child
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, January 27, reveals that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) complained to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) threatening to use his new power and connections in Congress to tank deals at Aurora.
Nina couldn’t risk her relationship with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) by coming clean about her hookups with Drew, but she got on board with Curtis’ backup plan.
Curtis wanted to make sure Drew was iced out in Washington and had no friends to lean on in Congress.
Nina had some connections of her own she could reach out to as part of that scheme.
At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) brought Willow a housewarming gift to welcome her back.
After Willow griped about Drew getting banished, she eventually sought updates on how things were going for Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
Chase admitted they were trying for a baby and eventually received his latest test results from GH.
Once Chase asked Willow to take a look at them on his phone, she reluctantly revealed that Chase couldn’t father a child based on those results.
Meanwhile, Drew left Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) a voicemail since he stopped by the Quartermaine mansion and learned from Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) that he wasn’t welcome.
It left Drew wondering if Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was behind that message or if Monica herself really banned him.
In Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office, she told Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) settling in Port Charles and warned Jason not to go after him.
Jason flew into a rage since he suspected Sidwell was behind the explosion at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) injuries.
Anna pushed Jason not to take matters into his own hands since another innocent victim could get hurt.
Over with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), she opened up to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) about her concerns about Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) heading for more Sidwell trouble.
Lulu also gave Laura the news about her new job at Deception and the fact that she’d be working for Brook Lynn.
At Turning Woods, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) reassured Lucky about using her friend on staff to score info on the patients Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) visited.
Unfortunately, that friend was out sick, so Liz and Lucky had to deal with another nurse instead.
However, Lucky and Elizabeth did a good job of selling a bogus story, which involved getting a list of the patients Cyrus visited who had passed away.
Liz and Lucky made it seem like they were doing Cyrus a favor since he wanted to send his condolences to their loved ones.
While the document was printing, Turning Woods’ administrator popped up, so Lucky distracted him by threatening a lawsuit over everything that happened with Lulu.
That gave Liz a chance to sneak behind the desk and grab the info they needed.
In Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) hotel room, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) quizzed him since he missed Charlie’s reopening last night, but Sonny downplayed it as a business matter.
Talk turned to Ava Jerome (Maura West) and all the continued custody drama, so Kristina was determined to help Sonny keep Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) away from her.
At the Port Charles Grill, Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) sold a cover story to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) about a Los Angeles trip involving a huge deal for Deception – one that Sonny needed to help lock in as their silent partner.
Nearby, Drew vented to Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) about his banishment from the Quartermaine property and made it clear that he wouldn’t be kept from Willow.
The conversation eventually shifted to Drew needing somewhere to live, so Lucy ultimately met with Drew and found out he was looking for a big place with a yard near good schools.
Lucy thought a five-bedroom house was a lot for Drew and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante), but he hinted that it wouldn’t just be the two of them.
Back in Sonny’s suite, Kristina was surprised when Natalia let herself in with her own key.
Natalia played it off like she just had it for business purposes and mentioned her upcoming LA trip with Sonny.
Kristina wondered if this was really the best time for Sonny to be traveling after all the chaos of the recent attack.
Sonny reassured Kristina, but she still seemed a little suspicious of what was going on with Natalia as she left.
Since Sonny was hiding his heart issues from Kristina, he told Natalia that he didn’t want his daughter to worry.
Natalia confirmed everything was in place for the trip, so Sonny was grateful for her help covering up his cardiologist appointment.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny’s LA visit could come with some surprises, so stick with us for more predictions on what’s next for the mob boss.
