In today’s Days of Our Lives, Leo is writing a wedding scene for Body and Soul in Small Bar (which looks bigger than it used to) to bring Charlemagne back from the dead. Javi shows up and jumps in, flirting and the two reminisce over first meeting there. Leo goes on about how hard it is to plan a soap wedding, and Javi tells him a real wedding isn’t a walk in the park.

Javi then starts to panic when Leo suggests he needs to throw a bachelor party. Then Leo notices a message from Doug and listens to it on speakerphone, but things get awkward when Three mentions getting the necklace back. Javi asks what that was about, and Leo says he was doing the kid a favor that was “technically illegal.” He tells Javi to start planning the bachelor party, then rushes out.

Holly apologizes to Doug III for showing up at the Horton house, filling him in on the latest Tate/Sophia and Rachel drama. Doug’s sympathetic, but tries to get Holly to calm down as she starts spiraling about how this baby thing will never be over and Tate could still end up married to Sophia.

She apologizes for trauma dumping, but he assures her that she’s dealing with a lot, it’s OK. He pulls her in close to hug her as he reassures her and they look into each other’s eyes. Doug pulls back, smiling, but the doorbell rings. Leo rushes in, mentioning the necklace then trying to cover when he sees Holly. Doug says it’s fine, Holly knows everything.

Leo tells Doug that he can probably get the necklace back, but it’ll likely cost him more than he got in selling it. Doug insists he pay Holly back first, then worry about the necklace, but first he needs a job. Leo suggests Three come work for him. “Work… for you?” He’d just be an assistant, and Leo says all he needs to know about soap operas is “We tell love stories.”

Leo says it would be a favor, he needs help. Doug agrees and Leo tells him he could give him an advance.

Sophia’s going through missing flyers for Rachel at the Brady Pub when Tate shows up to let her know that he hasn’t heard any news so far. Tate suggests they split up, but Sophia says, nah, then tells him they need to talk about the adoption. What if they do it anyway, mom approval or not? She points out that she’ll be 18 before the baby is born, so her mom never has to know.

Tate doesn’t think it’s a good idea. “What happens when you go to the hospital nine months pregnant and you don’t come home with a baby?” Sophia figures by the time they find out, it’ll be too late to do anything but yell. But Tate thinks they’d be too mad and could refuse to pay for her college. Sophia’s determined to push through and figure it out as she goes. She can support herself if they disown her.

Tate gets an idea to adopt the baby out to a perfect couple they get to know so Amy doesn’t flip out. Sophia says her mom would need a religious couple, so Tate says he can ask his Uncle Eric. Sophia’s doubtful… but it could work and be the best thing for everyone. It’s worth a shot. They’re both hopeful for the first time — they just need to find the perfect couple.

Tate heads out, assuring Sophia with a hug that everything will be OK. They’ll figure it all out together.

Ava shows up at the abandoned Blake house, distracted by Seymour the snake to the point that Rachel and the Woman In White can sneak up and knock her out with a candlestick. Brady meanwhile checks his messages, but Ava’s cuts out before he can hear what she says. He tries calling, but she doesn’t answer. In the Blake house, the phone rings and the Woman In White lets it go right to voicemail. Brady leaves a desperate message asking Ava if she called about Rachel.

Back at the house, Rachel asks if Ava’s dead. “Don’t worry, she’s very much alive.” The important thing is Rachel’s mommy and daddy can get back together with her out of the way. Rachel thinks that’s fine until She wakes up. The WIW says they need a plan to make sure the mean lady doesn’t keep her from getting what Rachel wants.

Brady heads over to Kristen’s to tell her JJ didn’t find anything. She says EJ actually helped her and supported her — “even though we’re not related by blood.” He was super supportive and was interested in the Blake family and her childhood. She mentions the family scrapbook is missing, which is when Brady realizes Rachel swiped it.

“If she is the one who took the book, that could be a clue.” That’s when we learn that Aremid is only a few miles out of town and they rush out. It doesn’t take long to get to the house, but it looks empty at first. Brady spots the edge of Rachel’s shoe under a sheet and they yank it back to find her.

She’s utterly delighted that mommy and daddy were looking for her together. They’re thrilled but say she should have told them where she was going. She was all alone in there and anything could have happened to her. “But I wasn’t alone!” She had Seymour with him!

Kristen gets serious and tells Rachel she and Seymour are in big trouble. They’ll talk more at home. They get Rachel’s stuff together and leave, only for Rachel to rush back in and tell the Woman her parents found her. The plan can still work, she’s assured. Rachel just needs to take Ava’s phone and she’ll take Ava.

In the show’s final moments, Leo gets back to Javi, who asks how things went. Leo says it’s all working out. Back at the Horton house, Holly congratulates Doug on getting a job, impressed that Leo stuck his neck out for him. Tate calls her to tell her the exciting news: His dad found Rachel! He apologizes and asks if she wants to get together and talk. Sure, she says as Doug just smiles sadly.

Back home, Kristen tells Rachel she gets three weeks without cable or wifi, then heads out to have Cook make some mac and cheese. Rachel asks Daddy if he wants to save, and Brady agrees he could use some food. But he gets down to Rachel’s level and tells her that despite her stunt, mommy and daddy aren’t getting back together. Ava’s a big part of her life, and there’s nothing Rachel can do to change it.

Over at Aremid, the Woman In White wheels a confused-looking, bound and gagged Ava off somewhere.
